Annoying Diet Commercial Blog
If you thought the Iowa Caucus commercials were bad, what about those weight-loss ads??? I cannot stand to watch Jennifer Hudson literally sing the praises of Jenny Craig anymore! Now they have the heavier Jennifer version singing next to her now-skinny self. It's odd, a little creepy, yet creative. Now everyone is in on the weight-loss wagon. Mariah Carey, who looks fab after having TWINS! Janet Jackson and Marie Osmond. In Marie's previous commercial a year or two ago, she looked great. Healthy, happy and not-too-skinny in my opinion. In her 2012 NutriSystem commercial, she looks nothing like the Marie we've always known. They have her sitting on a couch, which seems odd, since, after-all they are advertising a slimmer figure while hiding hers. Her eyes seem sunken in, which may be due to her intense amount of eye make-up, she has no wrinkles and unbelievably white teeth. She is beautiful, but is that real beauty? No. It's great to get in shape and eat healthy and enjoy your life and use these products if they truly work for you, but when is it time to say enough is enough? At least the caucus commercials will subside for a few months, while Marie, Mariah, Janet and Jennifer will remain in our face until the companies realize we aren't really that concerned about losing weight in the new year.
